We talked
with an Argentinian Journalist Walter Nelson, about the best Argentinian boxer,
Sergio “Maravilla” Martinez. He worked in TV and radio programs about box.
He talked
us that the box world knew Sergio when he was young, but the people that didn´t
like the box didn’t know him because he lived in Spain and United Estates. In
Spain Martinez knew his coach Pablo Sarmiento and there he had the possibility to
win more money than in Argentina.
After that,
Sergio gave a jump in his level because he was intelligent and had talent, a
big heart and a strong mental force. The break in his career was when he won a Richard
Williams in 2003, add Nelson.
The last
year he had more popular because of his
fight with Julio Chavez had medial coverage. Additionally this fight was for a world title
and Sergio waited for this some years, thought the journalist.
He showed
that the box wasn´t only force because he was fast and he had an interesting
leg move, concluded Walter Nelson.
